He holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, an MBA from Norwich University, Executive Certificates in Advanced Negotiations from the University of Notre Dame, and a Master of Science in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution from Columbia University. As an adjunct lecturer at Columbia University, he teaches Health Care Negotiations, focusing on strategic alignment between physicians and hospital administrators.

Steve Holtzclaw, MD, MBA, is the CEO of U.S. Orthopaedic Partners, bringing a unique blend of clinical and business acumen to the organization.

Under his leadership, USOP has strengthened its executive team with key hires, including a new CFO and CHRO, launched the annual USOP Physician Partner Meeting, and established the USOP Physician Board to ensure direct physician input on compensation models, operational strategy, and key decisions.

He has also enhanced communication and feedback channels, fostering stronger alignment between leadership and physicians on strategic priorities.
